WE ARE BLESSED WITH VOLUNTEERS

Covington Ladies Home is blessed by volunteers of all makes, shapes and sizes. In recent weeks, visitors have included groups, individuals, artists, musicians, students, and more. To our tried and true friends from area congregations–those who play piano and conduct sing-alongs—thank you.

After Thanksgiving the Sugar Pills came to call. Do you know the Sugar Pills? A group of talented women from the Northern Kentucky area in their adorable get-ups, toting and playing their ukuleles, and singing their hearts out.

Every Tuesday the residents enjoy company, games, laughter, and conversation with Covington Latin students. One Tuesday they were bowling. Yes, bowling.

Dr. Diane Schneider was driving through the neighborhood, reminiscing about her old school, LaSalette Academy, when she came upon CLH. Impressed by our Victorian home, she immediately signed up to volunteer. Our harpist at last Sunday’s Holiday Open House was Diane.

Thank you to all our volunteers for your talents, your time, and your love. Merry Christmas!

For 131 years, Covington Ladies Home has provided a place where every lady matters, regardless of her financial means, a place where each feels valued, a place hundreds of elderly women have called home.
